Description
This project involves the staged design and construction of a new town of up to 5,500 homes on a 780 hectare site, south of Queanbeyan.
Our Role
NOHC completed an initial Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment for a Council sponsored rezoning study in 2003. We have subsequently conducted further archaeological assessments, investigations and cultural heritage impact mitigation programs as part of the staged implementation of this project

Archaeological survey and site recording, Aboriginal community consultation, LES study, archaeological test and salvage excavation of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal sites, salvage excavation and selective reinstatement and public interpretation of a nineteenth century selectors house, repatriation of recovered Aboriginal cultural material, analysis and report production.
