Description
This project involved the construction of an 81 km water pipeline and ancillary infrastructure between the Wingecarribee Reservoir and the Goulburn Water Treatment Plant.
Our Role
NOHC conducted the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment and impact mitigation actions for the full life of the design and construction phase, commencing with a desktop study and concluding with a salvage and repatriation program.
Features
Desktop assessment, Aboriginal community consultation, archaeological survey and site recording, archaeological test and salvage excavation using both mechanical and by-hand methods, Statements of Heritage Impact for the former Kenmore Psychological Hospital, and 1829 Royal Staff Corps Veteran allotments, monitoring of construction impact, Aboriginal artefact repatriation, analysis and report production.
