Kempsey Bypass – Pacific Highway

This project involved the route selection and assessment of a 40 km section of the Pacific Highway between Kempsey and Eungai Rail, together with the ongoing staged construction of the bypass

Our Role

NOHC conducted the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultural heritage assessments for the initial route selection study, the subsequent Environmental Assessment, an Aboriginal test excavation and salvage program, and archival recording program for European heritage.

The non-Aboriginal component included the assessment of and Plan of Management for the Fredericton Ferry Lane World War One Memorial Tree Avenue.
