This project involved the route selection, assessment, construction, and impact mitigation program for the Pacific Highway bypass of Bulahdelah.
Our Role
NOHC conducted the Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal cultural heritage assessment and management program for all stages of the project from route selection analysis, through an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), to management and impact mitigation. Some of the project issues included stakeholder consultation, the assessment and management of significant places and associated cultural values, and the management and interpretation of a former alunite mine and processing complex and a former home site of Rachael Henning.
